Normal operational Cyber Security done correctly in an organisation should have as much impact to an organisation as the sound of the wind in the trees…

…the impact of day to day cyber security operations should be like the sound of whispered voices in a library for an organisation.

Ben Doyle

Ben Doyle is the founder of Susurrus, drawing on a 25-year career in information security. For 21 of those years he was Chief Information Security Officer for Thales Australia and New Zealand, running security governance, risk, and incident response across enterprise, operational technology, and classified networks for a global aerospace and defence group. Ben was recognised as the longest tenured CISO in Australia before stepping into independent mentoring, angel investing and advisory work. As a long-standing member of a number of advisory roles, and a co-founder of Harmonia, supporting greater inclusion across the cyber security industry. Ben has also helped train over 200 CISOs in Australia through the AISA/RSAC CISO Bootcamp, and is a co-author in three academic AI papers. Through Susurrus, he brings that same calm, considered approach to organisations navigating cyber risk today.

How Susurrus Delivers Impact

When cyber, AI, risk and/or regulation becomes a board level problem, Ben Doyle brings 25 years of experience from the pointy end of it.

Ben spent 21 years as CISO of Thales Australia, making him one of Australia’s longest serving cybersecurity executives. He has advised boards and senior executives on nation state threats, cyber resilience, risk and governance, and has trained and mentored more than 200 CISOs and security leaders.

Through Susurrus, Ben now brings that experience to executives, boards and founders facing complex decisions across cyber, AI, resilience and regulation.

This isn’t theoretical advice, it’s the judgement that comes from decades of being accountable when the decisions actually mattered.
